I have been searching for an author that writes great books. I have found one! All his books are outstanding. Thank goodness he is a prolific writer. I am fed up with authors who write only one or two books of a trilogy and never seem to finish the series after years (Mr.Rothfuss) as others. All of his books are good reads. Excellent read keeps you interested

Lightweight and engaging read with action and a huge plot twist. The ending is not at all what I expected but is very good
Pretty cool times....even if they are fictional....it feels almost historical....yes I know the places don't really exist, on a world that isn't really ours.
As expected from Duncan Hamilton, another masterfully done book. Hooked from the beginning. Now I have read all of his books and am still amazed at his writing skill. I love the era in which all of the books take place. This is a must read before you get into the trilogy. It helps understand the characters in the later books.
The First Blade in the story meant that you were the best swordsman. In writing this Duncan M. Hamilton is the best storyteller. With a captivating style that draws you in and doesn't let you go until the very end of the book. Enjoy!
I thought this was a great read as it sets up the series so nicely and gives a greater depth to the characters we already know. Despite being a prologue it was in no way boring or predictable. Admittedly you can be sure of the outcome of the conflict but the way it unfolds was enjoyable and unforeseen.
